I Prevail w/Palisades @ Electric Ballroom London

Doors opening at 7pm to a Sold Out show, with all patiently waiting for an hour before Palisades are set to take the stage. Everyone seems to be keeping themselves fairly entertained though by singing such "hits" as Bob The Builder, Spongebob Squarepants and Bon Jovi's 'Living On A Prayer' to name a few, in such a football chanting way.

MTXS – Ache

The low-tuned mob in MTXS have released a ferocious album titled Ache which will prove to serve them well in the long run as the start to take the bull by the horns and set up camp with the juggernauts of the metal scene.

EAT DIRT. – Death Is Death

The Punk 5-piece from the big city of London EAT DIRT. thrash their way through 14 songs with the majority of the tracks being between 1-2 minutes long collectively completing the record in 26 minutes. 'Short and sweet' is a pretty accurate term to use here but we should forget about sweetness part of that statement, sure the songs are bangers, but sweet is not a word that works in this pacey-punk madness.

Siamese – Super Human

Danish RnB-Core band Siamese have just released their 5th studio album Super Human (3rd as Siamese, previously know as Siamese Fighting Fish) and is possibly the album of 2019. Admittedly, this may come across bias as I have been hooked on them since my first encounter as a support band for Dead By April a couple of years ago... But cast that aside, you need to check out this album!

Black Surf – Make Friends

London feel-good indie trio Black Surf have served up 1 of 2 EP's for 2019 titled Make Friends is like a fuzzy feeling both internally and in their own instrumentals.

Borders – Purify

UK upcoming hard-hitters Borders have just released a phenomenal 10-track album titled Purify and it goes hard. If you are expecting a moment to simmer down, then you're in the wrong place - This is all kinds of brutal breakdowns, pacey riffs, and gut wrenching vocals with little time to breathe.

Creature – HEX EP

Birmingham noise makers CREATURE have recently released their new EP titled HEX, stating the raw authenticity of playing music without the clicks, without the triggers, just human-art in the heavy metal world.

Trade Wind – Certain Freedoms

Trade Wind's anticipated new album Certain Freedoms definitely casts a different view on what some musicians are capable of releasing. With members of Stick To Your Guns and Stray From The Path, it's hard to believe the huge change from a hardcore show of bodies literally being thrown over others, to this peaceful notion.

Set It Off at The Garage (London)

Will went down for a pre-Easter treat as Set It Off took to the Garage in London as part of their UK tour.

Sworn Amongst – Reclamation

Sworn Amongst have been a name in the UK metalcore scene for a decade and a half and have made themselves known over these years playing with many huge acts, festivals and kept a loyal fan base from their work.

The Brave – Aura

Aussie quintet The Brave are on form with their second full-length release Aura, like pick'n'mix you are anticipating what the next song is going to offer.

Ex Hex – It’s Real

"With simple riffs and beats, that are both effective and offer catchy positive vibes, it is hard not to bop a little to the driven power rock belters provided on this release"

Normandie, Led By Lanterns and Sun Arcana @ Dingwalls, London

Will Pearce went and saw Normandie at Dingwalls in London, a band he last saw four years ago when they supported the now defunct Yellowcard. Here is what he thought of the show...

The Bouncing Souls – Crucial Moments

A band that needs no introduction as they celebrate their 30th anniversary with this 6 track, 15 minute jam.

Threatmantics – Shadow On Your Heart

Threatmantics are a 4-piece Art-Rock band from Wales, with the release of their third album titled Shadow On Your Heart.
