Opening the show are UK rockers Dead! who show just why they are one of the most popular underground acts in the UK right now. The crowd enjoyed the set, singing along and getting involved with the grungy rockers. At times, the vocals were lost in the mix but this did not impact too much on […]
On Friday night, The Xcerts, offered a few hundred people a brilliant chance to escape from the cold outside. Playing every song from their brilliant 2018 release Hold On To Your Heart, the trio proved they have mastered the art of joyous rock music. Even with the attendance hampered by the bad weather, it was […]
Kicking off the proceedings were local punk-pop band Remind Me of Home. These guys always impress me and are getting better every time I see them. The newer songs are all heading in the right direction for me and are purely tantalizing when they throw in good harmonies. However, the lack of a sound check […]
Opening up the Get Happy Tour 2018 are Army Of Freshmen. Admittedly a band that I have never heard of previously and I’m ashamed of this fact especially given that they are kicking off their 20 year celebration on this tour. Their tracks are catchy and they really got the crowd going. The entire set is […]
Tonight saw Asking Alexandria and Black Veil Brides– with excellent support from German sextet To the Rats and Wolves – descend on Manchester. Outside the Academy 1 venue, fans queue eagerly for hours – a fair few sporting black face paint in homage to BVB. Whilst the need for increased security is understandable and necessary, […]
On the back of their heavily acclaimed new record ‘Technology’, Don Broco who as a band have spent their entire career proving their doubters wrong showcased just how far they had come by playing to a sold-out venue...
Marmozets proved that they are destined for bigger things with a triumphant show at the sold out ULU. Following the release of Knowing What You Know Now the quintet have an arsenal of songs that some bands could only wish for in their entire career. Opening the show were Marmozets’ touring friends, Queen Zee. Their […]
Dead! put on a killer show at their biggest headline show at the 100 Club in London. After the release of their hard-hitting new album The Golden Age Of Not Even Trying, Dead! debuted some of killer new tracks of the album like The Boys The Boys, W9 and Petrol And Anaesthetic along with the […]
Lacuna Coil’s 119th show was undoubtedly one of the weirdest gigs I have been to in the most incredible way. Not only was the music brilliant, they put on what felt like a musical theatre production throughout the show. During the concert, the band were backed by an imaginative array of circus acts including an […]
Opening with Communion Of The Cursed, Ice Nine Kills kick things off with a bang! Straight away grabbing the near capacity crowds interest with huge riffs and beautifully contrasting vocals. Frontman Spencer Charnas commands the stage and crowd like it’s second nature. Enjoy Your Slay is a particular highlight, paying homage to The Shining. The triple vocals work […]
Creeper surpassed their sky high expectations with a sensational show on the London stop of their Theatre of Fear tour. Supported by Nervus, Microwave and Can’t Swim, Creeper headlined what is sure to be considered one of the highlights of 2017, for all of the close to 2000 capacity crowd. Opening the night were Nervus. […]
Unfortunately, we missed openers Stand Atlantic due to a Christmas celebration held in aid of the Womanby Street campaign and Cardiff being named a designated music city but the general consensus of the crowd we spoke to was that they were really good. WSTR take to the stage to chants of their name from the […]
It’s a cold dark night in Camden North London, it’s spooky, scary and would befit any Halloween tour or midnight walk. But, this isn’t Halloween, this is pure hardcore heavy distorted metal trapped in the body of hip hop. This is Brooklyn’s very own, Ho99o9. We of Alt-Corner are here. The Electric Ballroom has been […]
Atlanta rockers Biters take to the stage to the sound of Ace Of Spades. They begin with frontman Tuk telling the audience how this is a special occasion before heading into some good old-fashioned rock ‘n’ roll. The overall reaction from the crowd is quite tame, which is a shame as the band really put […]
We start the night a band down as Scottish rockers Vukovi are unable to make the show due to the adverse weather conditions. Opening up this year’s Kerrang! Tour are Welsh group Casey who get things off to a flying start. Playing what is practically a hometown show, its no surprise that most people actively […]
