Black Orchid Empire have supported Hed p.e, Ravenface and Skunk Anansie around the U.K. Skin, the front person of Skunk Anansie said about the trio’s music “Beautiful melodies coupled with tear-your-face-off riffs. Bright fresh new stars”.

Wage War, DED and Thornhill @ Key Club, Leeds

Wage War, DED and Thornhill at the Key Club in Leeds was hands down the heaviest gig I’ve put my name down for. That being said, I concluded it was an experience I had to have.

The Fever 333 @ Leeds University Stylus

Fever 333 live at Leeds University Stylus was an interesting night, that's for sure. The decision to not have an opening act left a vacuum of time between doors and the band taking the stage, as the sold-out room slowly filled. There was a distinct goodness in the air, however. I'd got myself on a sort of balcony, overlooking the ground below that I knew would later become a massive pit.

Issues – ‘Beautiful Oblivion’

Issues haven't completely shed the skin that is metalcore on new record 'Beautiful Oblivion', but they've certainly moisturised it with some extra glossy melodies that make the record more accessible to people outside of the scene

Hollywood Undead, Loathe @ Leeds o2 Academy

Hollywood Undead at the Leeds o2 Academy is, thus far, the biggest gig I've reviewed. They're also, as the saying goes, not my cup of tea. However, Avatar aren't my cup of tea. Royal Republic aren't (really) my cup of tea. Five Finger Death Punch definitely aren't my cup of tea. And I enjoyed all of those bands live.

P.O.D. and Alien Ant Farm @ O2 Academy, Bristol | Live Review

Brad went and saw Alt-Rock Heavyweights P.O.D. and Alien Ant Farm when their UK Tour hit the O2 Academy in Bristol.

Papa Roach – Who Do You Trust?

On their tenth studio album, Papa Roach move away from their nu-metal roots and into more radio rock territories. All whilst maintaining their signature personality and not losing any of the flare that made so many fans fall in love with them 19 years ago.

Killset – S.T.F.U

Killset released their sophomore album S.T.F.U on 7th July this year. Using producer Eddie Wohl once more, Killset maintain their late 90s, early 00s sound that is synonymous with Eddie’s work. The album is certainly a throwback and may provide some nostalgia, however it isn’t up to the standards of the most notable names of that […]
