BOYS LIKE GIRLS – SUNDAY AT FOXWOODS

The baby emo within me was very excited when I was asked to review the new BOYS LIKE GIRLS album SUNDAY AT FOXWOODS. Growing up religiously hearing The Great Escape and Love Drunk, I couldn’t wait to hear what their first album in eleven years had to hold. Like most bands do, they’ve matured!

The St Pierre Snake Invasion – Caprice Enchantè

Let's not beat about the bush here, The St Pierre Snake Invasion have one of those band names you just don't take seriously, like Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!. The fact is, Chunk and most other bands who have made it anywhere despite having a ridiculous name can back themselves up with good music. With the new record from The St Pierre Snake Invasion, however, the question lies not in the name, but in the music.

Trade Wind – Certain Freedoms

Trade Wind's anticipated new album Certain Freedoms definitely casts a different view on what some musicians are capable of releasing. With members of Stick To Your Guns and Stray From The Path, it's hard to believe the huge change from a hardcore show of bodies literally being thrown over others, to this peaceful notion.

Astronoid – Self Titled

US dream-thrashers Astronoid release their self-titled second album at the start of this month! Our very own Will Pearce had a listen and gives his thoughts below.

Architects – Holy Hell

To know the pain the band must have gone through with their transition between All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us to Holy Hell, it has proven that proceeding with what they love best, and sharing their story with everyone has truly strengthened Architects and pushed for the challenge they encountered. The torch is held high in honour of the late guitarist Tom Searle who lost his life to cancer, who would have been proud of the record his fellow band members produced.
