Fort Fest line-up announcement

Fort Fest has announced the final bands to play the main stage of this year's inaugural event. The announcement sees The Xcerts, EMP!RE, Press To MECO, Boy Jumps Ship, THECITYISOURS, The Hyena Kill and Kingdom Keys added to the main stage.

Death Spells are alive!

Death Spells are alive. The duo consists of former My Chemical Romance men Frank Iero and James Dewees. The secretive project is set to hit you quick with an album coming in July and a small tour in August. Lucky Brits will get to see the two reunite on select dates in Glasgow, Manchester, London and Birmingham before the 'tour' hits Moscow and New York.

Le Pub is a cute little venue in Newport situated less than a five minute walk from the train station with friendly staff. Today the venue played host to the co-headline tour of Allusondrugs and Fizzy Blood.

Kerrang! Awards winners

Thursday June 9 saw some of rock and metal's finest come together for the 2016 Kerrang! Awards. Hosted at the Troxy in London by The Darkness' Justin Hawkins and Skindred's Benji Webbe and saw the likes of No Devotion, Asking Alexandria, Creeper and more honoured before a first for the awards with a live show featuring two of the winners, Asking Alexandria and A Day to Remember picking up best British band and best international band respectively.

For today's gig I headed over to the Buff Club Glasgow. It is one of those venues that you never forget when you go there as there is always a lingering smell of vomit in the upstairs venue...however, this odd inclusion was not a reflection of tonight's performances...
