Spotlight on: South Wales

South Wales has long been known to supply some of the best rock and metal acts with the likes of Manic Street Preachers, Stereophonics, The Blackout, Kids in Glass Houses, Funeral For A Friend and Bullet For My Valentine being the major exports. While Wales celebrates the success of these bands, they would not exist had it not been for the underground music scene providing platforms and exposure. So what does South Wales have to offer? It's a bittersweet night in Cardiff as Adelphia hit the infamous Womanby Street venue with fellow touring bands Everybody Looks Famous and Glass Giants. River Becomes Ocean announce release shows

Brighton's River Becomes Ocean are set to follow the release of new EP December with two release shows in Brighton and London. The EP is set for release on June 21 which coincides with the Brighton show before heading to London for a second release show on June 22.

Valleys Soundfest 2016

Valleys Soundfest is an alternative music festival that is held by students on the Music Technology course at Coleg Y Cymoedd. Each year the festival benefits a chosen charity, the past couple of years it has been the charity Love Hope Strength Foundation UK. The festival showcases up and coming artists, both locally and nationally as well as college bands.

The People The Poet @ Undertone 14/05/16

Although small, tonight went well. It is nice to see a packed club, showing that people still enjoy actual live bands. All acts were outstanding. The People The Poet, The Broadcasts and Vince James all showed that true talent really does still exist.
