Southampton’s formerly gothic turned pop punkers Miss Vincent are releasing their latest EP Somewhere Else on the 19th May. Being a big fan of Miss Vincent since seeing them on tour with The Fearless Vampire Killers back in March last year I was really looking forward to hearing new music from them. To me, the […]
In these modern times where the “perfect” recording is easier and cheaper than ever, there are still those bands who choose to take things in the Lo-Fi direction. Loom are such a band. Their debut album, S/T (releasing 19th May), is gritty, dirty and oh so lovable. Having recorded two cassettes prior which gained the […]
Everyone And Anyone, a UK Pop Punk band from North Wales are set to release their second instalment titled A Page From A Journal which features 4 gems. They waste minimal momentum in this record, fearlessly ripping throughout while providing melodies to hook you on and reel you in. Kicking things off with an […]
The highly anticipated follow-up to Biters’ 2015 album Electric Blood is set for release on May 19 via Earache Records and we got our hands on it. As they have been described as one of the most exciting and important rock bands of the decade, I was intrigued to see what all the fuss is […]
J-Math Rock. This is the only way to describe the all-girl band Tricot as they return with album #3 which is titled… 3. With 7 years experience together and numerous (and successful) tours, even supporting The Pixies at the iconic landmark (located in my home county of Cornwall) Eden Project. Tricot bring a crazed blend of music to toy […]
This Friday, All At Sea will be releasing their new EP, Systemised. Fan of Malevolence and Rage Against The Machine? This may be for you. The EP begins with Wake Work Repeat. Relatable title, and an even more relatable track, especially if you’re feeling a little pissed off with everyday life. This track is a […]
North Walean metalcore crew Rosen Bridge are set to release sophomore EP Dreamcatcher on Friday (12th May). Throughout the four tracks on the EP, there are some good, strong riffs, although at times, they seem to overpower the vocals. Title track and lead single Dreamcatcher hooks you in with some cool riffs, which is what […]
London/ Norwich 5 piece, Youth Killed It are here and they want you “to get in the back of the van man”. I think you should go with them to be honest. Youth Killed It are releasing their album, Modern Bollotics on May 12th, an explosive record mixing the attitude of British Indie Rock with […]
Deathmetal band ‘Slaughter To Prevail‘ are dropping their debut album ‘Misery Sermon‘ to you all on 5th May 2017, and yes their music is as bone chillingly brutal as their name and artwork suggests. This is the kind of music that makes me want to pull my brain out through my ears and set myself […]
Self-proclaimed hip hop/punk mutants Ho99o9 are set to release their debut album United States of Horror on the 5th May. This record manages to encapsulate the chaotic nature of Ho99o9 in a live environment whilst still remaining focused and artistically challenging throughout. Ho99o9 are one of these bands that are unclassifiable. Fronted by two of […]
Two years after ‘Gracetown‘, Australian quartet San Cisco are back with their third album, ‘The Water’, and a new early 80’s sound. The album opens with ‘Kids Are Cool’, and straight away you can see how this band have grown in the last two years. They’ve combined their summery indie-surf-pop-rock sound and wonderful vocal layers that […]
Midlands five-piece ‘Last Hounds’ are releasing new EP, ‘Old Dreams’, on 19th of May. Fans of Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, LetLive, and Gallows are sure to be a fan of the hardcore punk’s four tracks. ‘Listen (To Me)‘ didn’t immediately grab my attention, but it’s not a bad track. It builds over the minute […]
There’s a trio that has begun to take over the airwaves as they hit the town. Sharing their talent with the best indie pop sounds that anyone can ask for, and they go by the name Peaness. Soon to be hitting major festivals this year, this is one band you don’t want to miss out […]
Released on 28th April, metalcore band Death Remains released their sophomore album Destroy/Rebuild. This is a hard hitting heavy record that truly understands metalcore, finding a midpoint, a balance between both hardcore and metal. Opening with semi title track Destroy, the album starts heavy with blast beats and heavy riffs leading the song. Whilst the […]
For the first time in three years, Black Lips will be releasing a new album, Satan’s graffiti or God’s art?, this Friday. Once again, I’ve been met with another subgenre that I wasn’t aware of named “flower punk”. It always gets my curiosities up though, so let’s begin. After a rather odd introduction track (Overture: […]
