Shield Fest II (FVK/More Than Most/Junior + more) @ Hobos, Bridgend

A very emotional night but it showed that FVK are going to go on and have plenty of success in their future ventures. A very good festival overall which organiser Adam Tibbs should give himself a pat on the back for! Now to count down the days until the next Shield Fest!

THY ART IS MURDER have joined forces with The Acacia Strain and Fit For An Autopsy to create The Depression Sessions. The record is set for release via Nuclear Blast Records on August 12 and the first trailer has now been released.

FVK announce split

It's a sad day in the music world with the announcement that UK rockers FVK are calling it a day. Last night, the band released a statement explaining that following the departure of co-frontman Kier Kemp, the band were no longer going to continue.

The Brave are creating a new Epoch

The Brave have one goal for their band and that is to make music that moves people. Since their 2013 inception, the Australian quintet have been refining their sound, blending their hard-hitting riffs and smooth melodies. The band are set to release debut album Epoch via UNFD on August 5.

Like A Storm to tour with Alter Bridge

New Zealand (via US) didgeridoo-metal quartet Like A Storm are heading back to the UK and Europe this autumn after being picked to support US rockers Alter Bridge on their tour! The UK dates begin on November 23 and run through until December 2. The two bands will be joined by Volbeat and Gojira.

AREA 11 – Modern Synthesis

Overall, Modern Synthesis is a little different to what I'm used to hearing, but to me, that's always a good thing (I was especially impressed by the mixed sounds of Watchmaker). Anyway, I'm sure once it's released on Friday, fans of Area 11 will feel that this has been worth the wait.

So it's been a couple of weeks since Yorkshire hellraisers Allusondrugs have been on tour and they're missing it already! So much so, that they have announced yet ANOTHER UK run of dates in August with support from London indie quartet Massmatiks.
