FVK announce split

It's a sad day in the music world with the announcement that UK rockers FVK are calling it a day. Last night, the band released a statement explaining that following the departure of co-frontman Kier Kemp, the band were no longer going to continue.

The Brave are creating a new Epoch

Like A Storm to tour with Alter Bridge

New Zealand (via US) didgeridoo-metal quartet Like A Storm are heading back to the UK and Europe this autumn after being picked to support US rockers Alter Bridge on their tour! The UK dates begin on November 23 and run through until December 2. The two bands will be joined by Volbeat and Gojira.

A Chat With Area 11

Overall, Modern Synthesis is a little different to what I'm used to hearing, but to me, that's always a good thing (I was especially impressed by the mixed sounds of Watchmaker). Anyway, I'm sure once it's released on Friday, fans of Area 11 will feel that this has been worth the wait.

Alt-harmony group The Lounge Kittens have caused ructions in the rock world with their briliant covers of some of the best tracks around. As we impatiently await the release of debut album Sequins & C-Bombs (it's out in September so we ONLY have another three months to wait.... Someone get us a time machine please? Thanks!), the lovely ladies have given us a treat with their tongue-in-cheek version of AC/DC's Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. The video sees the trio return to some office jobs as hitmen with a difference.

Death Spells are alive. The duo consists of former My Chemical Romance men Frank Iero and James Dewees. The secretive project is set to hit you quick with an album coming in July and a small tour in August.
