Stew is seven tracks of ambience, with soft instruments and warm vocals. It’s an easy listen, which is comforting, and each song slides into the next one. That can be positive, or negative, depending on if it’s intentional. I think it is intentional here.
There’s few soft, almost spoken lyrics with a folky-feel. With some tracks, there’s no lyrics at all. It’s more about the instruments. The sounds that ignite emotion, and I think that’s interesting. I particularly enjoy TS_2, purely for the ambience.
I’m interested to see what Potato will release next, but Stew is out now!
