Enter Shikari with Noahfinnce and Fever 333, live at Leeds First Direct Arena

We should start from the beginning! First Direct Arena, Leeds – 9th February. It’s a rainy Friday night, but it doesn’t put a damper on the night as Enter Shikari, Fever 333 and Noahfinnce put on a great show!

Charlotte Sands – Can We Start Over?

Charlotte Sands is one of the up-and-coming big names of rock who I had the pleasure of seeing live twice last year as she opened for PVRIS in January and 5 Seconds of Summer in October.

Dead Poet Society – FISSION

Dead Poet Society are looking forward to releasing FISSION, their brand-new, thirteen-track album on 26th January. I was lucky enough to have an early listen and share my thoughts.

Dream State – Still Dreaming

Welsh rockers Dream State are set to release their third EP, Still Dreaming on the 26th January. Their first big release since 2019, Still Dreaming is about perseverance. It’s angry, and ambitious, and perfectly sums up how it feels to still try to reach your goals when the world seems against you.

Hawxx – Earth, Spit, Blood and Bones

Hawxx are a melodic metal band who have just released their debut album Earth, Spit, Blood and Bones. With heavy themes such as oppressive beauty standards, violence against women, mental health and self-empowerment, Earth, Spit, Blood and Bones has just ten tracks, and a lot to say!

Future Static – Liminality

Future Static have released their fantastic debut album Liminality!

Aiko – Fortune’s Child

Aiko's Fortune's Child was released Friday 13th October, a day that is meant to be bad luck. I feel like it was unlucky that it took me nearly two months to find the time to listen.

Best Ex – With a Smile

I’m late to the party, but Best Ex released her debut album With a Smile in October! Following her sophomore EP Good at Feeling Bad, With a Smile set out to capture the excitement and anxiety around falling in love with a stranger, and the coming of age feeling she’s experienced within the last few years. I find that it’s done that extremely well, as the most common thought I had while listening was ‘this sounds like the music in coming-of-age movie’.

Plain White T’s – self titled

Indie pioneers Plain White T’s have recently returned to our speakers with a beautiful self-titled album. The first in a few years, Plain White T’s is fun and emotional. It holds thirteen tracks of their iconic cheesy lyrics of the 00s, while also having the modern pop punk twist.

Candy Pop is the brand-new EP by AWOLNATION’s Aaron Bruno. Released on November 10th, Candy Pop is a five-track EP with 3 new, orignal songs and two extra remixes of the title track. The music has a minimalistic groove with creative use of synthetises and effective use of repetition with beats and lyrics. The album is partnered with a trilogy of theatrical music videos.

The baby emo within me was very excited when I was asked to review the new BOYS LIKE GIRLS album SUNDAY AT FOXWOODS. Growing up religiously hearing The Great Escape and Love Drunk, I couldn’t wait to hear what their first album in eleven years had to hold. Like most bands do, they’ve matured!

Mouth For War – Bleed Yourself

Mouth For War recently released their new album Bleed Yourself! See what Vicki thought!

Rocket Pengwin – Polar Opposites

Rocket Pengwin recently released debut album Polar Opposites and its a pop punk classic!

Matthew Lowry – Flamingo County
