The festival season is about to start, so get your camping gear ready, book those camper vans and don’t forget your suntan lotion or extra clothes for the mud and rain…..if that’s your thing of course. But, if you prefer the cover of a good old music venue that helps to keep live music alive, then June 4th is the date for your diary.
It’s the Camden Rock festival.
Not like other festivals out there, this is all-day music of unsigned and rising stars playing iconic venues around NW1. Locations like Dingwalls, Barfly, Black Heart, The Underworld, electric ballroom, the unicorn, the Dublin Castle, Good Mixer and more, so much more.
Throughout the day and night you’ll see bands growing in stature. It’s exciting, there’ll be Yorkshire’s Hands off Gretel, The Kut, the Dirty Thrills, the Anita Chellamah band (formerly The Cherry Bombz), the Hyena Kills, Cold in Berlin and Zoax plus many more that you will need and I need to see and witness the buzz around these bands. But wait for it. Billy Bragg will be there too, so will Carl Barat and the Jackals, all headlined by The Cribs, a grand mixture to behold.
