Thirty Silver are set to release Welcome Home, a 9 track LP on June 30th! The band formed in the city of Boston of 2014. With their own unique sound of heavy rock n’ roll the duo that consists of Drew Smith on guitar & vocals, and Joe Z playing drums. The duo are a team within themselves that book their own shows & have created their own label Tux Cat Records. Having toured the East Coast & Midwest of the U.S, Welcome Home will surely be an anticipated release.
The LP begins with an amazing guitar riff and an even combination of drums. The vocals sound great among the instruments, giving off tremendous energy in the beginning of the LP starting off on a good note. The next track shows a different tone when it comes to vocals. Still easy on the ears, yet there’s a heavier sound that seems to fit the duo perfectly.
Continuing throughout the LP, it slows down in the best way possible. Drums get a little slower, guitar riff still banging with relatable lyrics such as, “Times easy, you just have to let go/You & I will ride tonight/ And we will sit in silence”. Personally becoming one of my favorites on the LP overall.
Welcome Home continues with songs that can hit home from different aspects, with deep meaningful lyrics that make the listener feel at one with the duo.
The LP is mixed well and I feel comes to an end perfectly. I truly hope Thirty Silver makes its way towards the West Coast of the United States once they hit the road. Be on the look out for this jewel coming at the end of June.
