Opener Touch is sick in a good way. The riffs and breakdown are fun and it’s a catchy song and a good way to open the album.
Rise and Fall is another good song, but the riff sounded almost identical to the one in Touch.
I like the moody sound of Killing Time and the gravelly vocals in Crosshairs. It’s a gritty rock ballad talking about fighting with a partner and giving everything.
Run is another rock ballad which I really enjoyed.
Closing track Out of Darkness is a really good song, with powerful lyrics about walking out of darkness and a lovely guitar riff. The lyrics are delivered with fantastic vocals.
Out of Darkness has some filthy riffs and it is a great classic rock album with some glam thrown in. It has a clear theme, with tracks potentially sounding like they blend together at times at the start, but becoming pleasantly varied as the album carried on, but keeping close enough that no matter where in a playlist any of the tracks could be, you’d know it was She Burns Red. In the press release, She Burns Red is described as for fans of Metallica but honestly, I think they’re miles better than Metallica. If you like classic rock, then this is the album for you.
