REVIEW: Bodysnatcher – Vile Conduct

‘If you’re after something absolutely brutal, then this is for you.’

Bodysnatcher’s EP Vile Conduct was released last month and it’s as brutal as you expect.

Right off the bat, you’re treated to powerful growls from frontman Kyle Medina in Infested. The track is one big breakdown throughout with intense drums and bass and kicks it up even further for the actual breakdown! I don’t know if it’s possible to start a one-person pit but as I was listening to the EP, that was all I wanted to do. By the end of the opening track I was hooked for more.

Severed is one of my favourites as it has some great gang chants and a sick drum line running through it, however it seems to stop abruptly which is something I don’t usually like.

There’s a guest vocalist on the track Murder8 in the form of Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta and it works so well. It’s such a good song.

Bodysnatcher has a fantastic EP in Vile Conduct. If you’re after something absolutely brutal, then this is for you. The EP is full of breakdowns, guttural growls, pounding bass lines and strong drum fills.
