Southampton’s Alternative quartet, Hercules Morse are back with their first full length album, Vita Boundary out on the 4th May. May the fourth be with you, have to add a Star Wars reference in there for you guys. The riff merchants already supported the likes of Band of Skulls, Blaze Bayley, Orange Goblin and Turbowolf and that, ladies and gentlemen should whet your appetite.

Opener Everything is Great had me with their blues riffs which continues through to War Within. Cuckoo is an intense story when you follow the lyrical journey of the tune about mental health issues and people not accepting or being able to talk about it.

Resigned feels as if it has an unnerving presence about to expose itself onto the world. This is one of those tracks tries to be a sense of new school Alice in Chains. Still Singing has the same sense of energy with its riffs.

I have had the pleasure of hearing Hercules Morse before with their debut EP, so it is nice to hear where the band are growing or going. I look forward to their next installment of their evolution
