From Ashes To New are back with their new album The Future.

A groovy riff is present throughout opener Wake Up before a hip-hop beat introduces the vocals. The chorus is catchy. Let Go shows the band’s capability to write a good old clean vocal rock track, this is one that is anthemic and will be a sure-fire sing-a-long track live. A stand out on the album is Nowhere To Run, combining heartbreakingly relatable lyrics with a bit of a haunting melody. The beats opening My Name hit home and are backed up by a huge chorus. Forgotten is atmospheric and calming and On My Own is uplifting and empowering.

The rap-rock works well throughout the record and with the resurgence of the hip-hop/grime/rap worlds recently, is certain to further close the gap between the rock and rap worlds. The instrumentation ties in perfectly to accentuate the vocals. This is a strong record that FATN should be proud of!
