Derby metalcorers Forever In The Making have released their debut EP The Space In Between.

For a metalcore band, the opening to Bring The Fire is not what you expect with some atmospheric instrumentation. Danie Baugh’s vocals are some of the best in the industry in my opinion, she’s got that smooth, melodic style complete with the attitude needed for metalcore. The guitar work is intricate and catchy. The opener stands at just over 5 minutes long and is complete with ear catching instrumentals. Are You There picks up right where it’s predecessor left off and gives a bit of an Evanescence vibe with the contrasting vocals and backing screams. Closer All You Were Is All I’m Not ends on a high note.

This is a strong EP from a young band. It’s definitely one that you should listen to, if you’re not really a fan of metal or metalcore, this is something that will still appeal to you.
