Berlin based UK electronic rock duo Bullet Height are set to release debut album No Atonement this week.

Fight Song punches you straight in the face, kicking the album off to a banging start. The electronic tint over the vocals is unusual, but it’s enticing. There is a few seconds of calm as the duo quietly harmonise about being cold-blooded before the fury kicks back in. One of the recently released singles is Bastion, it’s catchy and less in your face than the opener. Hold Together is one of my favourite tracks on the record and possibly one of my favourite of this year.

Wild Words is the most recent single and shows off Sammi Doll’s vocals really well, it’s a more electronic track than the rest with pop tinges but sounds great. Intravenous shows off Jon Courtney’s vocals and is another punch in the face with the opening riffs. The titular track is catchy and closer Up To The Neck’s piano opening and distorted guitars is an odd contrast but as the track kicks in, it’s a pretty catchy track.

The 10 track album is a pretty strong debut. It mixes between the electronica and heavier, in your face, rock. It’s a great combination of a dance feel and a rock out feel. A good soundtrack for pre-drinks for a night out! The vocals throughout are good and there is a dark tinge through the record.
