The first track is “Hold My Heart”. They released this song along with a music video and this song shows how they have matured from their past releases. The powerful chorus is my favourite part of the song “You will always hold my heart”. There are some catchy drums beats and some impressive vocals from Frontman Adamross that I thoroughly enjoyed. The verses have a quite mild tone until it hits the chorus where the tone becomes strong and energetic.

The Second track is “Promised Lands” in my opinion is the most energetic song off the EP and also it’s my favourite track. The drums are very powerful throughout the song. “I will always be the one that has your back”, I really like this song because the lyrics are beautiful and very catchy. The vocals are unbelievably good when Adamross hits the high notes.

The last track “Devils Peak” is different from the first track to show that they haven’t left their heavier roots behind, this track features guest vocals from The Blackout’s Sean Smith – welcome back grittier post-hardcore elements: harsher riffs and guttural vocals at times. Saying that there is still a glimpse of their newer sound in this song too which is seen through the melodic vocals. The guitar riffs are ace along with some great bass riffs.

As a whole the EP highlights Adamross’ impressive vocals throughout every song, his melodic vocals definitely stand out. This EP is a mixture of Breathe In The Silence’s old and newly found sound which is awesome. The guest vocals from The Blackout’s Sean Smith brings a glimpse of their old material back with his soaring, heavy vocals. It clearly shows how much they have changed from their past releases and that they have matured. When this EP is out, be sure to check out the songs that I didn’t mention as they’re just as awesome as these tracks.

FFO: Young Guns, Lower Than Atlantis, Funeral For A Friend.
