Ottawa rockers Bearings have released their debut album Blue In The Dark through Pure Noise Records. The album is a groovy masterpiece from the opening of Where You Are to the close of Love And Decay.
Where You Are begins with a groovy riff, catchy chorus and infectious drums, a feature which continues throughout the record. Eyes Closed takes on a Mayday Parade vibe, with an emo-tinged rock ballad and an earworm chorus and gang vocals. One of the stand-out tracks on the record is Beautiful Places, a track that combines a massive pop-punk chorus with hard rock rhythm. Careless Clarity is a melodic ballad while Bearings break out the old acoustic for a Country feeling Tide.
Bearings have created an album full of emo-rock anthems, the record takes you on a journey in true emo style, reliving past memories.
