We’ve been loving post-hardcore trio Jack The Envious. Formed in 2012 by vocalist Nir Perlman and guitarist Guy Anvon, the trio was completed by bassist Guy Checkarov during their military service. The trio have announced that their second EP In Your Own Way is set for release on July 14, 2017 as a free digital download!

Speaking of the EP, the band say; “We’ve got so many songs in our arsenal at the moment, it’s been crazy to choose only five songs, but we wanted to keep it simple. Bands change all the time, a little here, a little there. With that being said, we wanted to capture it yet give the listeners who already know us that familiar JTE vibe. The songs are, in a way, very different from each other, but at the same time contain the guidelines of a JTE song.
We never settled on one style of writing, and every time it’s a different journey but with the same friends.”

They have also revealed the first track from the EP Beging For More. The band explain the track; “Most of our songs try to give the listener a personal story, but also one that they can take and relate to their own lives. We think this song delivers this kind of writing more than others.

For us, ‘Begging For More’ speaks about the struggle in modern society. That constant conflict of doing something wrong, while knowing it’s wrong, these things can be something small or something on a global scale. Although it doesn’t come to criticise it more than it does to resonate with it while showing the hypocrisy in these matters, as we’re not exceptional. The Lyric video aims to bring the words we wrote to life, we went totally DIY on this one. Guy (Guitar) sat for days learning how to make everything, it’s been truly amazing watching him work.  The video is very graphical, every word comes to life and the in-betweens gives you the real vibe of the song.”
