Post-rock/post-hardcore quintet Gates have debuted new single Empty Canvas. The track features on the band’s forthcoming album Parallel Lines, released on June 3 via Pure Noise Records.
The quintet’s recent release is inspired by the band’s Kevin Dye looking at life differently and mirrors life’s altering pathways. Throughout the album, tracks reference each other yet still keep their individuality.

Kevin says of the album and its inspiration; “Trying to absorb and deal with how you can’t know everyone, and you won’t ever know how they affect your lives or how you’re affecting others with simple things you’re saying or doing. I tried to hone in on that and use these songs to get that point across. I’ve never felt so much joy and satisfaction as when the five of us came together for this.”
