Scottish Sweethearts The Xcerts have enjoyed a good few years in the UK playing festivals such as T In The Park and 2000 Trees as they toured their latest album 'There Is Only You'. With work underway on a new album, we spoke to one of our favourite bands at this year's 2000 Trees Festival.
Their debut album ‘From Caplan to Belsize’ came out in March and has been a constant fixture amongst the AltCorner office playlist. We were lucky enough to catch up with the band at this year's 2000 Trees Festival 2016.
As a whole the night was amazing. However, some bands had to cut their sets short due to sound tech difficulties.

Three-piece alternative rock group The Decoy have just released a seriously groundbreaking album called Avalon. With every song showing striking vocals, as well as experimental instrument use, which was one of my favorite things about this album. Each track shows a raw, unique sound which I've never heard before making it endlessly-playable.
The guys of Spitfire will be releasing their latest album A Thousand Times next month. Listening to these tracks myself, I was met with a few good listens.
A very emotional night but it showed that FVK are going to go on and have plenty of success in their future ventures. A very good festival overall which organiser Adam Tibbs should give himself a pat on the back for! Now to count down the days until the next Shield Fest!

Swedish industrial metallers Rave the Reqviem have announced that their The Gospel of Nil record is set for release on October 7 via DWA. Originally started as a one man project, the quintet now features a mother-son vocal combination. The record is the first album as a quintet and effortlessly combines industrial metal, heavy electronica and mainstream rock creating a mesmerising masterpiece.
