Hello! I'm Irene! I write concert and music reviews for AltCorner. I've always had passion for writing & music, thankfully AltCorner has given me a chance to combine the two! I'm currently pursuing my goal to work in radio broadcasting and open my own production studio in the future. With this genre my taste ranges from 5 Seconds of Summer, Good Charlotte, Sleeping With Sirens, to Black Veil Brides and Bring Me The Horizon.

Belial – Nihil Est

Belial have released an album under the name “Nihil Est”, with an amazingly mysterious album cover. A broken light bulb hangs from the ceiling of what looks like caves. Faces can be made out in the rocks, or it can be the mind playing tricks. Who knows, but it’s truly intriguing. The opening track begins […]

An Indie folk-rock band from Asheville, North Carolina known as Fortune And Glory have set the date of January 13th, 2017 for their EP Effigies to be released. Gravves – “Rattle”

I had the special opportunity to hear Gravves debut EP “Rattle” that is set to be released February 10th, 2017. Throughout the EP, trying to ‘rattle’ the listener is an understatement. The EP begins with a headbanging track and catchy lyrics, with a track named “My Pet Rihanna”. Don’t allow the first track to fool […]

Blink-182 – Los Angeles, CA – 1st October 2016

It was a huge party, with flashbacks for the older fans, and amazing stories to tell for the newest ones. The stage presence and performance of the band was more than one would have ever imagined. Travis Barker is a phenomenal drummer, his energy is felt throughout each drum hit and the chemistry between Mark Hoppus and Matt Skiba makes the trio so entertaining to watch.

Lost Empires – Death: The Unveiling of Eternity

Lost Empires, a Oklahoma 5-piece metal band dropped their EP Death: The Unveiling of Eternity today and I had a chance to have a listen.

Glass Houses ‘Wellspring’ EP

Glass Houses EP 'Wellspring' starts off with a voice coming from the distance, guitar coming in slowly followed by heavy drums and lyrics that hold so much passion. The two voices that are heard are unique, yet compliment each other. Truly a perfect fit.

TALCO – Silent Town Album Review

The album as a whole was very enjoyable. Put together musically well. Their sound is very unique, and I can only imagine how wonderful their stage presence would be. There are no words to describe this wonderfully talented 6 piece band that would do them any justice. Silent Town is a masterpiece that I recommend should be given a listen.

Vans Warped Tour @ Pomona, California 7th August 2016

I had the wonderful opportunity to experience Warped Tour for the first time ever. Being new to this event, I had no idea what to expect other than the inevitable of receiving the most horrible sun tan. As the gates opened lovers of music flooded the grounds and made their way to the stages, tents, and vendors...

Cassels – You, Us and They

Overall the 4 track EP was very enjoyable. The singers voice goes very well with the sound this duo has created. It was very interesting to not have any idea what would come next. I truly look forward to what else these brothers will release in the future, would definitely recommend giving them a listen.
