Homesafe are gearing up to release their debut Pure Noise Records album, the aptly titled One. The record is heavily influenced by the 90s rock scenes, paying tribute to the likes of Foo Fighters but keeping a unique sound that ensures the record is not a carbon throwback copy! From the beginning of opener Point Blank to the aptly named closer Fin, we are treated to in your face rock that grabs your attention and keeps you hooked with vocal melodies and grungey guitars.
The drum and bass interlink to end Say Something combined with the overlaying guitars switches things up from the grungey 90s feel and brings the record into 2018 and links well into Sadistic Society, which has some of the catchiest instrumentation on the record. There is also a dig at society in the lyrics, which a lot of people will relate to. It’s one of the stand-out tracks on the record. Homesafe go into ballad mode for Stay Away and the punk feel of Vanilla-Scented Laser Beams (which is the best song title) adds grit.
The record is catchy with great interlinking instrumentation as shown in Time Ain’t Free. This is a strong effort from Homesafe!
