Amidst all the hustle and bustle of Cardiff preparing for the Champions League final, Trophy Eyes and Like Pacific headed to the Welsh capital to close out their UK tour.
First up is local alt-rockers The Decoy, their set didn’t get off to a great start with some pedal issues, however it picked up rapidly and they put on a good set. It was their first time playing in Clwb and they spent time joking with the crowd.
Up next is Like Pacific, the Canadians brought the energy and the crowd were loving it. They sounded great although bass heavy, there wasn’t a moment where the crowd weren’t off their feet, some even getting involved with stage dives. It gets emotional when it’s time for 22A, a song written about frontman Jordan Black’s late grandmother.
Headliners Trophy Eyes get rowdy from the start, theres plenty of crowd surfing and stage diving throughout the set with those not partaking in aforementioned activities constantly off their feet and singing along to every word. Counting Sheep is one of the stand-out tracks of the night and each song was performed flawlessly.
All in all, it was a fun-filled night with three awesome bands who I wholeheartedly suggest you check out if you haven’t already!
