REVIEW: Eddie & The Wolves – Tasty Sin

‘Everything about Tasty Sin is definitely tasty and depending on your point of view, it could be a sin to be this good’.

Eddie & The Wolves released their new album Tasty Sin on September 13 and it is a completely accurate name.

Everything about Tasty Sin is definitely tasty and depending on your point of view, it could be a sin to be this good.

The classic rock riffs throughout are fantastic, particularly in opener The Devils Wrong, But Not to Blame and the huge hooks are delightful.

The opener has some great dual vocals between Edd and Char Saffell and they work really well together.

The titular track is a bop. It has some cool guitar work and fun lyrics. The guitar work around the 2 minute mark is absolutely insane.

The chorus of Blood Runs Cold is also really catchy and had me humming along.

Not every song on the album is an absolute rock jam as we are also treated to slower songs in One Night and Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now. The former had a cool bit of spoken word towards the end whilst the latter is a much better ‘ballad’ style track. It’s a proper love song and the fact it’s sung between a husband and wife adds a nice touch.

My favourite thing about the album is the guitar work. The talent of Edd and Cain Paisley as guitarists is shown throughout. The dual vocals also work really well throughout. If you’re a fan of classic rock with a modern feel, then you’ll definitely love Eddie & The Wolves and should check out Tasty Sin.
