The EP is made up of four amazing tracks. The opening track “Transition” begins hauntingly, you think it is going to be a straight forward acoustic song. It then kicks into the ever so heavy, lead single “Merger”. It features vocals from When we were wolves’ vocalist Mitchell Bock. His vocals only adds to the heaviness of the song. The EP then heads straight into “Charlie Kelly”. This song really shows the musical talent that is harboured. It finishes off with the ever so catchy “Golgothan”.

Overall for a debut EP from a band that are so new, it is outstanding. The way the EP opens with an acoustic song, it does not really represent the EP as a hole. It is different in a good way. It gives that element of surprise. On this EP there is a cluster of well written songs that are, on a lyrical and musical note, very well executed. Transition/Merger really is an outstanding debut.

10/10
