Embrace The Fall That Brought Us Here – Apherium

Embrace The Fall That Brought Us Here does lack variation but being that the EP is only three tracks long it is hard for the band to showcase all they can offer. But, with this no nonsense style and high energy, this EP is perfect to jump around your room to, even if it is for approximately eleven minutes!

Apherium come at you with their new EP Embrace The Fall That Brought Us Here.

This alternative rock EP with post-hardcore vibes running throughout, gives you three songs full of energy and plenty of fight. The EP starts with Resolve that provides an enchanting heavy guitar riff intro which is has the added value of a double kick drum. The intro does drag out but when Larry Turner’s vocals kick in the first chorus isn’t far behind.  This track serves as a great introduction to this band.

Embrace has is more aimed to be catchy, with infectious rock guitar hooks that will have you nodding your head without realising. This showcases how a simple approach can be very effective. This has a feel of an early Fightstar track and gives you a real insight of what Apherium would sound like live.

You can watch the video for the Embrace here:

Ending with Ever Presents, it is a nice opposite to Resolve and really works well as a final track. With the track having a toned down feel that can almost be considered slow with almost vocal only sections. This track exercises the theory that sometimes less is more.

Embrace The Fall That Brought Us Here does lack variation but being that the EP is only three tracks long it is hard for the band to showcase all they can offer. Hi I'm Gareth, A foolish Welshman that has found himself living in Scotland. I adore live music and this all started back in University when a friend dragged me along to my first gig and I saw Travis. From then on I spent a lot of time going to see bands from rubbish uni bands that had formed one drunken night to the mighty Blur. When I finished uni there was a 10 year gap between gigs (long story). Now though, on any given day of the week I can be found in the venues of Glasgow. With regards to my music taste I love anything with great lyrics and heavy drums. When I was younger (and still am) I was obsessed with a band called Alisha's Attic.
When not at a gig I will be found at my computer playing games like Prison Architect, Hearthstone and Wolfenstein.
