Weezer have announced their 11th studio album! Pacific Daydream is set for release on October 27 via Crush Music/Atlantic Records!
The record is set to arrive in stores the day before the legendary badn play London’s Wembley Arena! The album is the follow-up to last year’s Weezer (The White Album) and was originally going to be a direct follow-up titled The Black Album until they realised the songs were ‘more like reveries from the beach at the end of the world’ so began writing an entirely new album and Pacific Daydream was born! Vocalist/guitarist Rivers Cuomo says;
Once upon a time, I, Chuang Chou, dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was Chou. Soon I awaked, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.
