Another Tuesday, another playlist full of artists worth getting stuck into.
This week we have gone broad with it. There is metal, alt-rock, punk, indie, heavier stuff, quieter stuff and a few tracks that are hard to pin down – which is usually where the best discoveries are.
Flotsam & Jetsam, Gorod, Gloryhammer and Wayfarer bring plenty for the metalheads, while Motionless In White, Ocean Sleeper, AXTY, Archers and Dropout Kings keep things firmly in the modern heavy world.
Elsewhere, MARiMARi, Man/Woman/Chainsaw, MWSOG, Mirabelle., Hector Gannet, Ray Hawthorne, SAGE, PLUME, echochamber, Bby and The Lilacs take the playlist in all sorts of directions.
There are catchy hooks, scrappy guitars, big choruses and songs that take a little longer to get under your skin.
Native James, Joyous Wolf, Rocky Warwick, Minute After Midnight, Poison The Preacher, Colorblind, Riff Wood, Tenroc, Dreadnought and Self Defense Family round things off nicely.
There is no theme this week beyond good music. Put it on in the car, stick it in your headphones, or have it running while you work. Hopefully you find something you have not heard before – and something you want to play again.
