Strange Planes have announced they are releasing their debut album South Of Ok on October 31st!
Check out the first single East Berlin Comfort Zone here!
On the new album guitarist and vocalist, Ellis Slater said “Making an album at Electrical Audio has always been a dream of ours and we loved every minute of it. We recorded the majority of the record entirely live to analogue tape which gave the record a raw and imperfect feel. In between takes we spent time in Chicago at the local bars and caught a couple of punk shows. It was a great experience and put us in a positive frame of mind to make the record.”
Explaining the personal meaning behind their new single ‘East Berlin Comfort Zone’ Ellis commented: “This is a song for anyone who is not too sure about themselves and always second-guessing their decisions. For me it was about coming to terms with the fact that I feel lost, I always will, but that’s OK and it’s OK if you feel that way too. In a larger way, it’s also about authority and how easy it is not to question things in order to have an easy life”.
