Ever wondered what your favourite artists think is the best song they’ve written? How about the meaning behind it? Well don’t fret because we at AltCorner have got you covered! Here The Word Alive vocalist Telle Smith take us behind the scenes of his favourite song!
What is your favourite song you’ve written?
My favourite track I’ve ever written is probably War Evermore.
What inspired the song?
The song was inspired by the death of Chester Bennington. The morning the world learned of his passing we were writing for Violent Noise.
What is it about the track that makes it so special to you?
I ended up going into the studio assuming I wouldn’t be able to write something that would do his memory justice, but what makes it so special to me is that I feel like it not only shows my appreciation for him and what he was going through before his passing, but also will have a strong impact on others who are struggling.
The Word Alive – Visible Noise is out now on Fearless Records.
