Ever wondered what your favourite artists think is the best song they’ve written? How about the meaning behind it? Well don’t fret because we at AltCorner have got you covered! Here Siblings Of Us take us behind the scenes on his favourite song!

What is your favourite song you’ve written?

Chicago Glass Twins is a top contender for sure.

What inspired the song?

The gun issue in America. We tend to go overboard with technical writing and we wanted to put something straight, to the point, loud, filled with anger. It’s the stepping stone to the new sound that we have become and we feel it translates the best. The synth parts are what we love and putting in those
16 bit sounds and glitchy effects really gives it that raw animosity we feel is needed to boost the track to a sense of frustration.

What is it about the track that makes it so special to you?

The song particularly means a lot to us as it’s also based around one of our close friends from the US that sadly took his own life this year. The stories he used to tell us were just shocking with regards to gang and gun violence. He told us he feared for his life a lot of the time in Chicago and nobody should have to live like that. This tune demonstrates a statement and a protest to the relevance of the second amendment in today’s social climate and how pride can be a dangerous thing.
