November 2015 shocked the world with the atrocious terror attacks in Paris, with some of the violence centered on the Bataclan music venue during the Eagles Of Death Metal concert. This hit both musicians and fans alike with shock that a place that has always been a safe space had become a target for such hatred. Three years on, Bradford trio Stand Alone have revealed their new single Repose En Paix!

The track was written in the aftermath of the attacks and is dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives. Frontman Gavin Stevenson explains: “Repose en paix translates as rest in peace in French. This song I wrote lyrics for in the days after the Paris terror attacks in 2015. I was at a gig that night myself and the realisation that we could all be under threat at any point really made me sick. It also made me more determined than ever that we should never let these people win. So the song is a tribute to the victims of the night but also a war cry to everyone to stand up for what you believe in and love your life to the full. That way we always win.”

Repose En Paix is taken from Stand Alone‘s forthcoming Falling, Faster EP (November 30).
