Nottingham emo pop-punkers High Tides are starting over with their new record! The quintet are set to release the sophomore mini-album I’m Not Giving Up, I’m Just Starting Over on March 17, 2017 via Scylla Records. Frontman Christian Litchfield says; “The title is in keeping with the theme of the EP, which is really about heartbreak, learning from mistakes and realising that things do get better; sometimes you just have to make a fresh start for that to happen.” The band continue; “We wanted to tell a story with the EP. So its starts very upbeat and bright; as it goes along it definitely takes a more serious and darker turn towards the end.”
You can stream the lead single 52 featuring Miles Kent of Catch Fire below;
Speaking of the track, the band comment; “We decided to lead with this as we believe it has the most impact. It is personal to Chris, with the ’52’ representing 52 playing cards in which his ex wrote a reason on each one why she loved him, before things turned sour, as you’ll hear.”
You can catch the band on tour across the UK in March to celebrate the release of I’m Not Giving Up, I’m Just Starting Over. Support comes from Where There’s Life.
