Illinois’ pop punkers Real Friends are continuing to fuel the hype surrounding forthcoming Fearless Records album The Home Inside My Head (out May 27) with the release of the video for album track Mess.

You can pre-order the album here and get Colder Quicker, Scared To Be Alone and Mess as instant downloads.

The video for Mess shows the energy and fun in a Real Friends’ show and was filmed on the band’s recent sold out $5 tour. A novel idea to combat the rising ticket prices for shows.

Bassist Kyle Fasel says of the track; “‘Mess’ is a song about self examination. It’s about finding the light even in the darkest of rooms. The lyrical content has many moments of looking back and knowing that things get better. I find myself to be a person that thinks back more than most, and as I get older, I find myself looking back in a more positive way.”

You can catch the quintet in the UK at a special show in Kingston (May 27) and the three Slam Dunk festivals (May 28-30) before they head for a full run on this summer’s Vans Warped Tour.

Real Friends on tour:

May 27 – Kingston Hippodrome

May 28 – Slam Dunk North – Leeds University

May 29 – Slam Dunk Midlands – Birmingham NEC

May 30 – Slam Dunk South – Hertfordshire University
