It’s official! Linkin Park are back with new members and new music!

Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix and Joe Hahn are back with new members Emily Armstrong (vocals, of Dead Sara fame) and Colin Brittain (drums, songwriter and producer for One OK Rock). They will be releasing their new album From Zero on November 15 through Warner Records.

Mike Shinoda said: “Before LINKIN PARK, our first band name was Xero. This album title refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we’re currently undertaking. Sonically and emotionally, it is about past, present, and future—embracing our signature sound, but new and full of life. It was made with a deep appreciation for our new and longtime bandmates, our friends, our family, and our fans. We are proud of what LINKIN PARK has become over the years, and excited about the journey ahead.

“The more we worked with Emily and Colin, the more we enjoyed their world-class talents, their company, and the things we created. We feel really empowered with this new lineup and the vibrant and energized new music we’ve made together. We’re weaving together the sonic touchpoints we’ve been known for and still exploring new ones.”

Friedberg will release new album Hardcore Workout Queen on November 8 via Clouds Hill.

Anna said: “I suppose you could say it’s a journey through the inner workings of my past few years. It’s vast and minute, it’s everything and nothing. It’s about breaking in and breaking free, about slipping into someone else’s mind for a holiday from your own thoughts.

“It’s being the Champion of the Slobs, whilst cheering for the Hardcore Workout Queens who run past your bedroom window as you’re tucking into your second breakfast. It’s the perfect album to listen to with the windows down cruising along a coastline, whether you know where you’re going or not.”

Every Hell – Vertebrate

Every Hell will release debut EP Vertebrate on October 31.

Vocalist Will Gardener said: “The whole process of making ‘Vertebrate’ has been nothing but inspiring for me. It’s really let me find my feet as a writer and build trust and chemistry with the guys. I felt very nervous at the start as it’s a very weird way of writing, bringing whole riffs, choruses and chord sequences but written on saxophone and then trying to see if it works with us all.

“Its been a real learning curve but one that I have embraced wholeheartedly and with all my soul. The studio was one of my favourite recording experiences I’ve ever had and the songs just grew so organically and with so much power it was really something special. As a vocalist I have never felt as comfortable and in a free flow state as when I was in the booth for this session. Something about tracking it all together and live, to tape added this extra adrenaline bump that I think you can really hear in the finished article.”

Bassist Andrew Gosden said:“We recorded live together to tape with no edits so what you hear is real and honest – ‘warts n’ all’. Being a perfectionist I found this approach daunting but it was a very organic process because in reality we spent more time playing together instead of sat in front of a computer editing the best bits of 30,000 takes to make the song ‘perfect’.”

Brave Liaison – Silence in the Chain

Brave Liaison will release new record Silence in the Chain on October 11 through Fort Records.

Skegss – Pacific Highway Music

Skegss will release new album Pacific Highway Music on October 18 through Loma Vista Recordings.
Ben Reed said: “In the past I’d deprived myself of using things like synthesizers, not realizing how much texture and atmosphere they can add to the music.
Working with Paul felt like letting our guard down and completely opening up in terms of what these songs could be.

I’ve spent a lot of my life driving on the Pacific Highway, and most of the time it puts me in a bit of hypnotic state.

With this album I tried to be as honest as possible, but I also wanted to create the kind of songs that give you that same feeling—songs where you can shut your eyes, let your imagination take over, and drift off into another world that exists only in your mind.”
