Coilguns – Odd Love
Coilguns will release their album Odd Love on November 22 on Humus Records.
Vocalist Louis Jucker said: “Odd Love is a way to summarise our relationship with music in itself, the overall music business and our band life.
“We’re amazed how long this band has lasted so far and the importance it has taken in our life, knowing how randomly it started. Our music has always been a sane yet intense way to process all the light and deep things we were going through in our personal lives. Oddness is our normality and love is our motor to achieve it.
“It took us a long time to fit somewhere in a scene, since we never believed and cared so much about scenes. Our drive was to get on stage and tear it down, and we found out pretty quickly that it would be hard to turn this energy into a business plan. Through the years we tried to cherish our strangeness while adapting to this gigantic chaos that is music today. This has for instance seen us start our own label and create most of our tools from scratch. We’ve obviously learned a lot together, and this whole process has taught us to love ourselves for what we are: a noisy odd band from a tidy watchmaking city”.
Thank – I Have a Physical Body that Can be Harmed
Thank will release their second album I Have a Physical Body that Can be Harmed on November 9 through Big Scary Monsters.
Frontman Freddy Vinehill-Cliffe said: “Thematically all the old classics are in there – sex, death, and Twitter brain-rot.”
“I don’t think I’m necessarily trying to say anything I haven’t tried to say before, I’ve just gotten better at saying it. I still hate landlords, I still hate right-wing grifters, I still hate people who hide their cruelty behind progressive language. I do hate myself quite a bit less, so there’s some hope and positivity in there too, as a treat.”

The alt rockers said: “We’ve been chomping at the bit to get this debut album out and are excited it’s finally happening. It’s been a long time coming with the early versions of some songs dating back a few years.
“The title Are You In A Cult? comes from us seeing what looks like mini-cults forming everywhere. Regular people getting tempted and manipulated to follow one charismatic leader, idea or worldview, often to their own harm. We’re all guilty of it at some point, but we hope asking the question can give people some power back.”
