New records to look out for – teasers for November 3

Welcome to our weekly round up of some of the recently announced albums and EPs that we’re most excited for!

The Seafloor Cinema – Self-titled

The Seafloor Cinema will release their self-titled debut album on December 1 through Pure Noise Records.
On the new album, the band said “This record really feels like “us”. It’s as crazy, technical, pretty, soft, and heavy as we wanted it to be. We left the studio with Beau Burchell (Saosin) feeling like we really captured a record that described us as musicians, as people, and as friends. Beau Burchell really helped guide us in a direction that helped us capture the sounds in our head. He made sure our personalities were seen and heard within the music he captured.”

Bokassa – All Out of Dreams

Bokassa will release new album All Out of Dreams on February 16 through Indie Recordings.

BOKASSA sum up, “All Out Of Dreams is an album where the feeling of resignation is present on several of the album’s tracks. Whether it deals with one’s own failures, maybe you feel the system failed you, perhaps because of failed government policies, or that you’ve just given up on it all.

The common denominator is that everyone you encounter, or hear from in the lyrics have lost hope, which is something the album’s title – All Out Of Dreams – alludes to.

The name of the album could also be seen as direct reference to our own career, and the dream of owning our own private island in the Pacific. Unfortunately the masses have yet to develop good taste in music, so that dream is rather non-existent at this time.”

Enterprise Earth will release new album DEATH: an Anthology on February 2 through MNRK.

Vocalist Travis Worland also commented: “Coming from a heinously religious upbringing and background, death has been at the forefront of my mind since childhood. Going to Hell, going to Heaven, going nowhere at all, being stuck between two polar opposite eternities. So, I wrote about it. From all manner of perspectives. The death of self, the death of someone or something important to you, the death of a relationship, the death of individuality, fantastical stories of what awaits us when we die. Death takes many forms and can be spoken of in so many different lights. This is my story of death and dying. This is Death: An Anthology.

CHERYM – Take it or Leave it

Cherym will release debut album Take it or Leave it on February 16 through Alcopop! Records!

The band said: “This album is a project that we’ve been developing for the last 6 years of our lives. Whenever we started the band the end goal was to create music that we enjoyed, and if that meant other people could relate to it and enjoy it too, then all the better. As three queer people who didn’t really fit the criteria when it came to the DIY music scene at that time, we have watched as the scene has evolved and grown into something much more inclusive and beautiful that we can now confidently say we feel like we’re part of.”

“This album tells the story of how our lives have been transformed in the last 6 years—two EPs, lots of shows all over the world, and a few pronoun changes later…we made the record we needed to hear when we were growing up. Take It Or Leave It.”
