Wucan – Axioms

German rockers Wucan will release their fourth album Axioms on August 29 through Long Branch Records.
Francis Tobolsky said: “The foundation of our music is international 70s hard rock enriched by contemporary influences – this time with even more bombast, brutality, and complexity.”
“The title Axioms stands for the fundamental convictions our band is built upon, convictions we no longer question.
“After ten years of making music together – seven of them in this lineup – there were moments when everything could have fallen apart.
“This album was created during a time when each of our lives was changing significantly, and it bears the imprint of those personal experiences. The fact that we’re still making music together is neither a coincidence nor a matter of convenience – it’s our axiom.”

Hot Mulligan – The Sound a Body Makes When it’s Still

Hot Mulligan will release new album The Sound a Body Makes When it’s Still on August 22 through Wax Bodega!
“‘The Sound a Body Makes When It’s Still’ is a lyric reference,” says co-vocalist Tade Sanville.
“That lyric is in a song about paranoia, which is fear. With the album title, you can go the meditation route, or, the horror that you are in your body, and you have to exist. You have no choice, really. Even if you plan on killing yourself, right now you exist. And that is a terrifying thing.”

“The fact that the new album is only released three years later is due in no small part to the overcoming of serious life challenges and profound changes. The new album is the follow-up to the previous album, Silk Spiders Underwater, where the story began. Now, Bring Mirrors To The Surface tells the story to its conclusion.”

Leap – Entropy

Leap will release debut album Entropy on October 3.
The London rockers said: “It feels so wild to be announcing the album. It’s only been 2 years since we started touring and getting out to places all over Europe and meeting people. It’s gone so fast and we’re loving every second of it, Honestly, so grateful that we’re able to keep it going. We’re a tiny team, it’s just us 4, plus mates basically, so everyone has put in outrageous levels of hustle.
“But to be releasing a debut album together, it’s so exciting and we just wanna get this music out to as many people as possible. The amount of fans that have become part of this family and connected with the music on a proper emotional level, it’s the best feeling ever. It’s the most rewarding thing about all of this, seeing people get a break from their heads and just let go for an hour. That’s exactly what it is for us as well. So to be able to share that with new people and bigger crowds, we’re so gassed for it.”

Over&Out
Play Dead

The alt-popper’s first effort is a seven-part exploration of desire and vice. It focuses on the seven deadly sins of pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath and sloth.

Raphael Weinroth-Browne – Lifeblood

Credit: Curtis Perry
Raphael Weinroth-Browne will release solo album Lifeblood on October 3.
The Leprous cellist said of the album: “Lifeblood is a reflection on my journey as an artist and my relationship with music. Music has always been my life force; it has been there for me in all the seasons of my life and has given me everything I have, and in turn, I have devoted myself fully to it.”
“I consider this album to be my most autobiographical work to date. As a metalhead turned full-time professional cellist making original music outside the classical realm, I have taken the road less travelled, nurturing my artistic vision and trusting my intuition even on an unorthodox path.
“I have forged a unique career and identity around my musical voice and the way it manifests itself through the cello. The defiant, audacious energy of this music represents my inexorable drive to continue pursuing my dream in spite of all obstacles.”

Lifeblood
Possession
Ophidian
Pyre

Daron Malakian And Scars On Broadway – Addicted to the Violence

Credit: Travis Shinn
Daron Malakian And Scars On Broadway will release new album Addicted to the Violence on July 18.
“As far as the process goes,” Malakian said. “I’m always writing songs, because it’s the only way I know how to live. It’s my purpose.
“When I write, I try to stay honest. I don’t put myself in a box, which is why you have both heavy and mid-tempo material. It takes you through different feelings, and that’s what I’ve always done.
“If I was a painter, I wouldn’t tell myself, ‘I can’t use these colors.’ So, all the colors are available to me. All the emotions are also available, because we go through each one of them as people. I’m expressing everything I can.
“I’m just as proud of Scars as I am of System Of A Down. This is another musical outlet for me. I think it’s some of the best stuff I have to offer. I’m blessed that I can still do this and write songs every day.”
