Pinkshift will release new album Earthkeeper on August 29 through Hopeless Records.
“The first album was influenced a lot by stuff we grew up listening to because we’d never really toured,” offers Myron.
“It’d really cool that now, after all this touring, there’s bits and pieces of all these bands we wouldn’t otherwise have listened to that have weaved their way into our songwriting.”

“Myron and I got really into Loathe and Knocked Loose,”
adds Paul.
“It inspired me to pick up the baritone guitar that I had, playing in lower tunings. I love the direction that the metal scene is going in and if I could reflect that in any way with respect to the guitar playing that was going on, I’d jump at every opportunity.”
“I think with this record, I’m trying to inspire you to, give a fuck,” Ashrita concludes.
“You’re worth giving a fuck about. I feel like people don’t give a fuck about themselves but in the same way those redwood trees told me I’m welcome here, you matter and you belong here.”

“The album Inquisition is for those of you who are into legends like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Slayer. Full of power, melodies, double bass drums, heavy riffs and speedy guitar solos, Inquisition is not only our style and lifestyle, it’s our life! From the beginning to the end, it’s the best of us,” Romana Kalkuhl comments.

“We and our label Napalm Records are a huge supporter of vinyl records, so with passion and joy we chose some great editions to add to your collectables. Now it’s your time to pick your Inquisition!”

Frontman Beau Bokan said: “Gallows is a culmination of everything we love about writing music. We took our time and only wrote when we felt inspired. Every song you hear on this album was written from a place of excitement and freedom and you can hear that shine on every track. From the visceral screams over some of the most disgustingly heavy parts we’ve ever written to the massive sing-along choruses, there’s something for everyone.

If you’re a die hard BTF fan since day one or a first-time listener, Gallows will end up on your Top 3 metalcore albums for 2025.”

Beauty School Dropout – Where Did all the Butterflies Go?

Credit: Natasha Austrich

Beauty School Dropout will release new album Where Did all the Butterflies Go? on September 5.

Alongside the announcement, the LA rockers released single Fever. They said: “This was one of the first songs we wrote for the album, and it has been the North Star since. Going into this project, we simply wanted to create a soundtrack that makes rock music fun and exciting again. Something you could play in the clubs and people will get just as hyped hearing guitars as they do hearing 808’s. For us at least, this is that song.”
