Bearings – Comfort Company

Bearings will release new album Comfort Company on November 7 through Pure Noise Records!
Frontman Doug Cousins said: “Comfort Company is for us the record that feels like coming back home. Some songs we wrote at a cottage together, others came from a basement. They all started somewhere honest and ended up back at the studio where we did our first album in the East End of Toronto.
“This album was working on music all day, walking to the beer store, then heading back to the windowless studio to relax before reading Kurt Vonnegut and eventually falling asleep on an air mattress. As we worked out what we wanted it to sound like we found ourselves wanting to make music that felt natural to us, something that we knew we’d connect with and be able to spill out on stage when the time came to perform it.”

Coroner – Dissonance Theory

Coroner will release new album Dissonance Theory on October 17 through Century Media Records.
Guitarist Tommy Vetterli said: “I thought a lot about what CORONER should sound like today, but I pretty quickly realised that looking backwards wouldn’t serve us. Of course, over time you develop a certain signature as a musician. So even if the material is new, it might still feel like a bridge to earlier phases – simply because it’s me writing it.
“That said, we didn’t set out to continue a legacy. We just wanted to create something honest and grounded in the present. ‘Renewal’ now opens the chapter for what became the first CORONER album I’m fully satisfied with, start to finish. So we’ll let the music speak for itself – you’ll know if it speaks to you.”

The Cribs – Selling a Vibe

The Cribs will release new album Selling a Vibe on January 9, 2026.
Ryan Jarman said: “We’d always said if we made another record we would specifically focus on enhancing the pop element of the band, so Patrick’s way of working and experience in that realm seemed a great fit whilst also being a completely new experience”.
Gary Jarman said: “I think as time has gone by our albums have become more and more open – and as such the songs on Selling A Vibe feel very personal. So it can be nerve wracking releasing them because they matter so much to us. I know that may sound overly romantic or idealistic, but ultimately – it’s the only thing that matters when all is said and done. Did we connect with people? We don’t want this to be seen as an “indie rock” record or a “punk” record or whatever – all those things that used to seem to matter to us – our only hope is that people enjoy and connect with the songs and lyrics for what they are. We want them to be for everyone, really. And as such, I suppose you could say that makes it our most ambitious album, as we have fully given ourselves over to that. In short, we sincerely hope you enjoy it.”

1914 – Viribus Unitis

Credit: Sofia Ruda
The band said: “Viribus Unitis is about shared strength and the idea that true power lies in unity. Alone, one may fall, together, we can prevail and achieve our goals: Defeat the enemy, escape captivity, survive and return to your family. We return with a new story. A story of life and military valor of a soldier who encountered the Great War in his native city of Lviv and went through it all. Side by side, with joint efforts of Ukrainians, Poles, Hungarians, Slovenes, Czechs, Slovaks, Jews, Croats, Bosniaks, Germans – all the peoples who made up the vast Austro-Hungarian Empire. Empires did not count people – they threw them into meat grinders where survival was only possible through unity. By helping one another. By sacrificing yourself for the sake of your loved ones and comrades.
“This is a story of being blinded by war and the grandeur of the empire, of the heat of battle, realisation and acceptance of reality, awakening, changing values, captivity, and liberation. It is a story of unbreakable will to live and hope amidst a terrifying and bloody war. It is a story of a new little life that changes all the rules and forces one to see the familiar from a different perspective. It is a story of love. It is a story of loss and death. Viribus Unitis is when pain, death, loss, loneliness and fear encircle you. But you’re still unbroken!”
