New Records Round Up: Teasers for October 18

Welcome to our New Records Round Up, where we bring you teasers of recently announced albums.

In this week’s New Records Round Up, we bring you teasers for 10 recently announced albums and EPs.

K. Soto – Your Love is Conditional

K. Soto will release album Your Love is Conditional on November 22 through Pure Noise Records.

He said: “This effort is a very concise and personal project for me. The songs came together very naturally and ended up working well in telling the story of a relationship arch. It’s very conversational throughout which seems to open a window into the connection/disconnection of two people, shifting between memories and the present day. The songs evoke specific responses for me, so I can only hope the listener can potentially connect and relate to similar experiences.”

Tracklist:

Memorial Day
Leave It Alone
Burdensome
Forgive Me
Coconut
Stuck

Brick By Brick

Ray Hawthorne – Ray Hawthorne Sucks

Ray Hawthorne will release album Ray Hawthorne Sucks on November 7.

Ray said: “The last 9 months have been pretty fucking crazy for me. In a completely unexpected turn of events, people (for some reason) started giving a shit about the silly songs I record in my bathroom. This has been equal parts exciting and nerve-racking. Throughout the last 9 months I have panicked, blown out my voice a few times, injured myself during the LA marathon, celebrated my dog’s second birthday, and released a new song almost every week. I don’t know how or why, but that’s what I did. This album is a collection of some of my favorite songs throughout that process, and listening back to them all in one go is somewhat interesting to me. Hopefully it’s slightly interesting to you.”

RØRY will release album Restoration on January 31 through Sadcøre Records.

RØRY said: “I’m always fucking late… so of course, I’m dropping my debut album when I’m 40. My excuse? I can’t exactly say my train was cancelled or that I was sick. Only, I was sick. For a long time. Sick with grief, pain, addiction—and eventually sick of my own bullshit.

“But I’m better now. Sobriety, therapy, a family. I never saw any of that coming… RESTORATION is my testimony of how I turned my shit show of a life around. It feels like the first hopeful record I’ve ever written. I want people who hate themselves, and who are struggling with drinking and relationships to understand that someone can come at any moment and save them. And that person is themselves.”

“It’s been ninety percent complete for about twelve months, and we’re not a band who usually hang around when finishing things.

“We’ve definitely been less afraid of putting guitars on this one.

”There was a thought that if we’re doing a guitar record, let’s get it out of our system properly.

“It’s about the usual stuff, betrayal, loss, death, all the bad energy you need music to exorcise.

“We’re at the age where there’s kids on the scene and you have to wonder, is it possible to atone and move on from the sins of the past? There’s always the fear that the victim today can become the bully tomorrow.”
