Guilt Trip will release new album Armour of Angels on June 5 through Roadrunner Records.
On the lead single, No Love Lost, the band said: “’No Love Lost’ is all the best of Guilt Trip spliced into a fast and unrelenting 2.5 minutes.

Oh Hiroshima will release new album And the Dead Tree Gives No Shelter on June 5 through Pelagic Records.
The band said: “The album title And the Dead Tree Gives No Shelter is taken from T. S. Eliot’s epic poem The Waste Land.
“For this album, the dead tree works as a metaphor for ways of living that drain the world of meaning and offer no real way of navigating the hardships of life. We are living in a time when it has become harder and harder to imagine a bright future. This leaves many of us with a deep sense of hopelessness that easily breeds cynicism and apathy. In that state it becomes easy to shut the world out and give up any attempts at meaningful interaction with the world around us.
“A destructive cycle follows, as this leaves us with no way of sheltering ourselves from our initial despair at the state of things. But these songs also aim to paint something meaningful and hopeful. A form of idealisation not rooted in naivety but in realism, because we need ideals to gather enough strength to leave the shelterless dead trees of our lives behind.”

Lex Legion – Lex Legion

Lex Legion will release their debut album Lex Legion on June 12 through MNRK Heavy.
The band is made up of four fifths of the late 1980s lineup of King Diamond. This includes drummer Mikkey Dee, guitarists Pete Blakk and Andy La Rocque, and bassist Hal Patino. They are joined by vocalist Nils K. Rue of Pagan’s Mind fame.
“Lex Legion is totally written the way we thought in the ’80s,” said Dee. “We wrote what we wanted, and if you liked it, that was a great bonus. If you didn’t like it, that was fine with us, too!”
“It has elements of everything on the album,” said La Rocque. “The right tempo and the right kind of vocals, starting out like a fist in your face!”
“This is totally unique. No one is writing this kind of music and there’s a big hole for us to fill,” Blakk concluded. “Welcome to our new journey of friendship and hard rock!”

Converge – Hum of Hurt

Converge will release new album Hum of Hurt on June 5 through Deathwish/Epitaph.
It is their second album of 2026 after Love is Not Enough was released earlier this year.
Vocalist Jacob Bannon said: “When we came together to write, we ended up with a wealth of material.
“As work progressed we realized we had created two separate albums, and treated them as such.
“It’s not a sequel. The unifying musical idea early on was, ‘Let’s make a noise rock album.’ But we never really did. The first one wasn’t. This one touches on that spirit, but it’s much more dynamic than that descriptor. To me, it leans more into being an emotional hardcore album, while Love Is Not Enough feels more metal leaning album. In the end, we simply gave creative birth to another Converge record with its own unique identity and character.
“For the cover, I had a vision of an EKG signal fusing with some kind of volatile seismography. This amalgamation represents the conditions that would theoretically create a ‘Hum.’ Specifically the heart skips beats before dissolving into static. The signal is then interrupted by a seismic event at the center point of the cover.
“In conversation, I shared some of these ideas with artist Thomas Hooper, who offered to illustrate them using scientific diagrams as a source of inspiration. I then spent months creating a mixed media piece for the interior.
“The figures represent the five elements of our planet, or ‘Pancha Bhuta’: Prithvi (Earth), Ap (Water), Agni (Fire), Vayu (Air), and Akasha (Aether). I present them in the throws of chaos, as if the elements themselves are entangled in the Hum of Hurt.”

Warning – Rituals of Shame

Warning will release new album Rituals of Shame on June 19 through Relapse Records.
“It’s my privilege to be able to present to you the first track released from Rituals of Shame,” Patrick Walker said.
“Whether you’re among those who have been waiting for this for 20 years, or whether you’re new to my music, it is with great pleasure and some relief, that I can finally give you a taste of the album that will follow later in the year. I wrote and recorded the entire record throughout 2025. This is the year I shall have the honour of sharing it with you.”

Junius – Sotera

Junius are back with Sotera, their first album in around a decade, which will be released on June 26 through Prosthetic Records.
Joseph E. Martinez said: “The word Sotera is the feminine form of saviour or protector in Greek, and it perfectly captured what the album was circling around.
“This album is a musical invocation that explores the divine feminine as a force of transformation and balance. Medea stands at the threshold. In Sotera we’re calling upon Hekate, her mother, to guide us in her resurrection. The Oracle as a loving but ignored prophet. Lucifera appears as the punished light-bringer. The Initiatrix is the one who begins the rite.
“‘Initiatrix” distills the album into 3 minutes and 23 seconds, and it captures the heart of the record.
“It’s about willingly stepping into a ritualistic transformation, asking to be changed and accepting the consequences of that choice.
“Mythic, atmospheric, melodic post-metal?” surmises Martinez when pressed to sum up Junius’ sound. “Over the years we’ve been labelled post-punk, post-rock, and now post-metal, in that order. We’ve never really cared too much about the label, but post-metal seems to be the one people have settled on for us. We see it as heavy music that prioritises movement and melody over aggression for its own sake. What we’ve always tried to do is balance weight with emotional lift. The heaviness creates the gravity, but the melody is what carries you into the ether.”

MONO – Snowdrop
