Kat Von D will release new album My Side of the Mountain on September 20.

On the title of the album, which came from a famed book of the same name, she said: “‘My Side Of The Mountain is a love letter for all of the hopeless romantics, the outsiders, and lonely hearts trying to find their place in this cold and divisive world.  When I was a kid, I read the 1959 novel My Side Of The Mountain and related so deeply to the little boy who ran away from home only to find comfort in isolation, self-reflection, and self-reliance in the wilderness.

There’s a comfort in dreaming of escapism, sure. But this album isn’t about that. It’s about confronting the shit we don’t want to face, accepting the things we can’t control, and fighting for the things that matter. This album is about my side of the argument. My side of the bed. My side of the line drawn in the sand. My side of the mountain.  And I hope it makes others who feel the same, a little less alone in this world.”

Meryl Streek – Songs for the Deceased

Meryl Streek will release new album Songs for the Deceased on October 25 through Venn Records.

Meryl Streek said: “It was only when I finished recording the new album I realised I had made a record that revolved around people and events around my hometown of Dublin. Now, I admit it’s not always a pretty picture I’m painting, and it probably never will be, but these are cases that desperately need awareness.

“This is a collection of stories about Betrayal, Murder, Injustice, and Corruption. It’s not just happening in Ireland, it’s happening around the world and we’re supposed to just take it lying down?”

Happy Accidents – Edit Undo

“We’ve sort of integrated it into our normal lives which has been way more fun.”

The band said: “With this new record we feel we’ve really cracked our sound as a band. We wanted to put out something that embodies PF to its fullest but with a fresh angle and we’ve definitely done that… We’ve had some great tours recently that have given us the opportunity to really see what works in the live setting, so we’ve put that into the album’s writing approach too.
“The slams are the heaviest they’ve EVER been but we’ve tried a few new things. On top of this we’ve brought in some insane guest appearances to add to the mix. We can’t wait to play these jams live! See y’all on the road.”
