Team Dresch – Furthermore

Team Dresch will release Furthermore on September 18, via Jealous Butcher. It is their first album in 30 years.
Kaia Wilson said the album is similar to “lungs full of grief expelling, eyes and guts wide open, yearning to be one with animals and nature, metal-flange-goth-grunge-punk-ass-rock-and-roll, loaded with inimitable vocal melodies and harmonies, Donna Dresch’s soaring guitaring that grabs you by the heart, so many other rad guitar parts all orchestrally intertwining, deep hynotic bass, and drumming mastery that deserves its own Grammys.”

Ignea – Monumental

Ignea will release new album Monumental on October 23 through Napalm Records.
Vocalist Helle Bohdanova comments about Monumental: “Back in the 17th century, nostalgia was considered a deadly disease – and in many ways, it still is. It’s a universal feeling experienced by every human being, pulling us toward a past that felt gentler than it truly was, especially during the bitter moments of the present.
“Much of this album was inspired by modernist architecture – concrete giants built to signal progress and a brighter future, now slowly decaying. They’ve become a sort of memory box: monuments to unrealized dreams, where the future that was once imagined never arrived, yet continues to echo through the ruins and bright mosaics.”
Tracklist:

Moody Joody – Plain Jane

Moody Joody will release new album Plain Jane on October 30 through Photo Finish Records.
“We have been talking about this album and have had the title/concept since the early days of the band in 2020,” says co-lead vocalist/guitarist Kaitie Forbes.
“For us to finally be putting it out into the world feels so surreal. It’s a concept album full of highs and lows, twists and turns, the pursuit of chasing your dreams and finding your most authentic self along the way. We have put so much thought and intention into every detail and my biggest hope is that someone somewhere will hear it for the first time and feel completely seen and less alone. And then continue to turn back to it whenever they need comfort- just like I have done with my favorite albums. We cannot wait for the world to hear what we’ve been pouring our hearts into for a long, long time now. We’re so excited for everyone to meet Plain Jane.”
“Plain Jane was born from a place of longing to take up space, unapologetically and boldly as a woman in the world,” adds co-lead vocalist/synth player Kayla Hall.
“The album takes you through a musical and deeply personal journey of the trials and tribulations of what it looks like to build a life of your own and what life looks like after you burn it all down to get there. This album is equal parts sugar and spice. Grit and glimmer. We want to give our fans a world to get lost in, to see themselves in, something that makes them feel understood.”

“You go into the underworld so you can find clarity about your own being and come back changed. That’s just my fundamental belief about healing, it’s not about wallowing but you do need to move towards the darkness in order to transform it and get unstuck. It’s how you discover your most important powers.”
