Foreword – Exposition

Foreword will release new EP Exposition on February 20 through Seek and Strike.
The band said of the EP: “This EP carries a particularly personal weight for us as a band. It represents a moment where we allowed ourselves to fully lean into the sounds, textures and influences that have shaped us over the years, while still pushing our identity forward. A major source of inspiration came from modern gaming soundtracks, most notably titles like DOOM and Cyberpunk 2077, which encouraged us to think more cinematically and atmospherically in our writing.“

Shepard to the Black Sheep

LØLØ – god forbid a girl spits out her feelings

Credit: Whitney Otte
LØLØ will release new album god forbid a girl spits out her feelings on April 17 through Fearless Records.
She said: “My debut album had me wishing I could be a robot, so I didn’t have to feel anything and nobody could hurt me. This next one, however, is what happens when I start embracing every messy, scary, and inconvenient feeling of being human. I’ve stripped things back – both sonically and physically – just a girl, her pen, and her guitar. This album is about learning, losing, falling in love, falling apart, and refusing to apologize for any of it.
“Every song is diaristic, ripped straight from the pages of my journal, chronicling every intrusive or delusional thought, every downward spiral that goes on in the labyrinth I call my mind. It’s me, spilling my guts in real time to cope.
“As my fans know, I’m incapable of taking this shit to my grave. It’s about owning my sensitivity and emotions because, god forbid a girl spits out her feelings! Well, here they are…”

Nailed Shut MA – A Promise Made, a Promise Kept

Nailed Shut MA will release new EP A Promise Made, a Promise Kept, on March 5.
“This EP has been such a long time coming for us, and we couldn’t feel more fulfilled,” the band says.
“With a promise made, a promise kept, we really felt as if we’ve begun to lean into a signature sound that can only be described as ‘an eeriness of self-inflicted violence.’ This EP contains intense themes of mental health awareness and personal harm. We’ve truly poured our all into this record as we take from personal experiences of loss and the departure of self-control. Ultimately, a promise made, a promise kept isn’t in any way a pretty listen. But it’s here to drown out the dread that may be eating at you and it’s here to help in any way it can.“

They have released joint single Dead Calls as a taster of what we can expect!
The band said: “‘Dead Calls’ is our first single from INTERWOVEN. It’s the opener of the new year 2026, which will be dedicated to the MEEJAH x HIRAKI project where our two bands blend together to one big ensemble. We are happy to finally have arrived at the release date.
“We have worked intensity on exchanging ideas, music and dreams back and forth and interweaving the two bands – and we hope the European audience will embrace our music as well. It feels like a match made in heaven! Our new Tapetown Session filmed on the nose of Jutland in Denmark has captured and translated our energy so well. Enjoy!”

FLESH PLANET – // first flesh

Credit: Aeris Houlihan
FLESH PLANET will release debut EP // first flesh on March 27.
The band – made up of former members of Allusondrugs/Allusinlove Damian Hughes, Connor Fisher-Atack, Drey Pavlovic, and Jemal Beau Malki – reunited after their 2019 split and moves into various solo projects to form FLESH PLANET.
They said: “We all missed jamming with each other, and because we still really resonated with Damo’s old songs from the Allusondrugs days we wanted to get together and jam them, just for kicks. We sorted out a jam session, stuck a few cameras up in Drey‘s studio to capture it all, then we recorded the audio and released it as a one-off ‘Allusondrugs throwback jams’ on CD. We did a limited edition run of physicals on bandcamp that sold out straight away. That throwback jam basically sparked the idea for this new band.”
