In this week’s New Records Round Up, we bring you teasers for 10 recently announced albums and EPs.
Not Enough Space – Weaponize Your Rage

Not Enough Space will release debut album Weaponize Your Space through Thriller Records!
The Floridians tackle hardship head on in the record, focusing on themes such as religious trauma and body dysmorphia.
“It’s about transformation through pain,”explains co-vocalist Lizzie Raatma. “When you create art, you need to make a decision: are you going to reopen old wounds and let them fester, or will you do something that allows you to heal? Music shouldn’t be about allowing the past to consume you. It should be about using that darkness to fuel something positive… If you literally weaponize your rage – it can lift the weight away.”

Wicca Phase Springs Eternal – Mossy Oak Shadow

Wicca Phase Springs Eternal will release new album Mossy Oak Shadow on September 19 through Run For Cover Records.
Adam Andrzejewski, the brains behind the project, said: “I always kind of thought that as long as I have the Wicca Phase Springs Eternal name that I can do whatever I want.
“The name provides a framework for the lyrics and aesthetics of the project–my songwriting with a mystical overlay to it–and as long as I can make something work within that, then the genre doesn’t totally matter.
“The temptation is to call it a country record,” he says. “I don’t really think it’s that–but there’s acoustic guitar and slide guitar, and I think my interests and themes do have elements of country in sort of an archetypical way.”

Projector will release second album Contempt on October 3 through Alcopop! Records.
“In some ways, Contempt is us consolidating and accepting what we are: aggressive and stupid and weird, as well as carefully devoted to melody and harmony,” says bassist and vocalist Lucy.
“We’ve always been aware of the dissonance in us and our music. Probably like most cynical musicians we love beautiful things but can’t really enjoy them without tearing them apart.”

Intercourse will release new album How I Fell in Love with the Void on September 12 through Brutal Panda Records.
“Usually we record in a basement home studio, or they’re done super quickly,” Tarek Ahmed said.
“This time, we figured it was a really good investment to book a full week of studio time and challenge ourselves to write better songs.
“I f*cking wrote my ass off, and then I do this thing about two months out where I’m like, ‘Everything I wrote sucks, so I’m going to rewrite all the lyrics.’ Then a month before recording, my wife and I decided to split, so I tried to punch up the lyrics and make them funnier by throwing some divorce stuff in there. But I think I made it more depressing.”

Soulkeeper – Join us in Creating Excellence

Soulkeeper will release new EP Join us in Creating Excellence on September 19 through Pure Noise Records.
The band said: “We view this EP as a transitional period for the band as well as a sample of what is to come with our next LP.
“We took everything that we loved about our recent LP “Holy Design” and doubled down on every aspect that we believe made it great. Distorted monophic synthesizers, unpredictable transitions, glitchy production and just general dissonant nonsense are all even more pronounced with this release and thanks to working with Jonathan Dolese on these songs we couldn’t be more happy with how they come out sounding and how excited we are for the future.”
Tracklist:
Join Us In Creating Excellence
Go Ask Alice
Reality Bytes
Smile Because It Happened
