modern society, our reliance on self medication and self-built technological utopias in a world of
accelerated modernity. Life and death in Blackpool UK”

The Deadnotes – Courage

Indie punks The Deadnotes will release their new album Courage on February 14 through 22Lives Records!

With reflective and self-explorative lyrical themes, the band has in the past been pigeon-holed musically as an emo-band. Something, that the band are keen to move away from on this latest full-length release – especially given the state of world politics, as Darius explains:

“Emo is a genre that lyrically solely reflects on inner struggles and general world weariness. This simply isn’t enough anymore. The world and its political landscape can be very disillusioning sometimes, but it‘s so important to put your anger and frustration into action and try and make changes for the better”.

“The toxic capitalist system we‘re all currently living in primarily promotes competition. Politics and industry tell fairy tales of endless economical growth in a world with obviously limited resources. If we‘d instead focus more on connecting people and working together than competing with each other I believe there can achieve a more desirable endless growth. Endless growth of positivity, creativity and great ideas.”

Nova Twins – Who Are The Girls

Nova Twins will be releasing their debut album Who Are The Girls through 333 Wreckords on February 28!

“’Who Are The Girls?’ is dedicated to all the people who are beautifully diverse and creating their own lanes. It’s a celebration of those who feel like they don’t fit in! The title is ironic, as there is little representation of diversity at the shows we play and there wasn’t any to see when we were growing up”says Amy Love and Georgia South (Nova Twins).

“Our audience have been our biggest supporters, encouraging the creativity and ideas behind the album. It’s amazing to finally be able to translate our live sound onto an LP, so that everyone who wants to can join in the madness! We feel 333 Wreckords is the perfect home (massive love to Jason of Fever 333 for inviting us into their family). We can only hope that this album empowers people the way they have empowered us. This one’s for all our Supernovas, keep shining bright!”
